Luis (also heard as Lulis; the spelling is not settled) is a cyborg in the New World who waits on the third level of the Crystal Tower and presents himself as a hero.

Description
He stands on a balcony whose metallic crystals show stars and nebulae; these are a projection, not an outside. He is a humanoid figure whose armor is part of his body: technological, cyborg, with a rotating red droid eye. He introduces himself: “My name is Luis. And I am a hero.” Mr. Wolf is beside him, very worried and affected, though he was not taken.
The ultimatum
Luis issues an ultimatum:
“We need to improve in our hearts… because it is the way to get to where this disaster began, in the new world, in this world. There is a heart they tried to deceive us with here, first — the lead one, as it was meant to be. He has a silver heart. Give it to us and we return your friends. If not, your friends’ blood will end up filling the bowl — and we will go looking for the gold. I will count to three.”
He says he wants to save people. On the earlier occasion the companions had been shown and then returned. Wolf first resisted (“don’t give in to them”), then yielded: he would hand over the heart once given the gem. The trade was agreed: the gem for the silver heart. It was said there was no need to escalate to violence.
