Description
The First Level is the most accessible stratum of the infernal hierarchy: the antechamber of the City of Dis and the first point of entry to Hell from the world of the living. In the Dantean scheme it corresponds to Limbo. In Plutus’s own hierarchy it marks the lowest level of his internal trust; each level is a degree of the descent.
The whole structure rests on the Nine Hells of Asmodeus, the sovereign arch-devil.
