Nancon is a barbarian of the Wordbreakers in Vala who, in combat, speaks only Aclo, the language from beyond the veil, though his magic is unaffected.
He bears Atrox, which makes him cold and calculating; some say that state holds a “child of the void”. His marks are two daggers and the golden astral cord. The shadow that follows him belongs to the emissary of Nyarlathotep.
He was summoned before the King at noon on the fifth day of the cycle (atonement, parade of gods, wedding), an audience shared with Sheridan. The Tower Ob Caligni arc also marked him. An episode called “Nancon’s nemesis” points to a recurring, unnamed antagonist.
Conflicting accounts
- One passage says he brought Antinoo to the brink of death after a fire explosion and then saw him through recovery; another says he rescued the mortally wounded Antinoo.
