The Anael Lodge is a right-wing, anticommunist Masonic lodge in 1966 Argentina, linked to esoteric ritual, which the world calls plainly “the enemy, the right”.
| Location | Buenos Aires |
| Possible head | Ricardo Moretti |
| Spanish entry | Logia Anael |
Description
No temple, insignia or charter of Anael is recorded; it is located through its dependencies, the entrepreneurs’ union and the print shop that prints for it. A lodge “near Barracas” is said to hold a mysterious object, but Barracas is also home to the rival Hijos del Trabajo, and which house owns that site is disputed.
Methods
- Political: it acts in Argentina “against progressive forces” through the entrepreneurs’ union, where Ricardo Moretti and Uriel are involved, and through the print shop.
- Esoteric: it is linked to rituals and pursues occult books, which interest lodges with political aims; here such a book is a political object. It has “some relation” to the Quilombo or Chulaje.
The lodge “could probably be” Moretti’s; his is the only name tied to it.
The tree of lodges
A country may hold “100, 200, 300” lodges; Anael is among the important ones. They are ranked like football clubs, with “a sort of grand master of masters” above them, “like the AFA”.
- Right: Anael and the Italian Pedue, “very right-wing”, involved in bribery, corrupt politics and Italian football clubs, and close to the military.
- Left: the Hijos del Trabajo (“Sons of Labor”) of Barracas, a lodge “that really existed”, which moved into unionism with ties to anarchists and socialists; their lodge is “rickety” and in decline. The line between egalitarian unions and right-wing politics runs between the two houses.
- Apart: the “black lodges”, which use others’ power and energy and then vampirize them, tied to the satanic current seen in rock and roll.
Open questions
- Its seat, rites, degrees, membership, initiation and leader are not recorded.
- Whether the Barracas lodge with the object is Anael’s or the Hijos del Trabajo’s is unresolved.
- Whether Anael is a black lodge is not established: it is credited with rituals, never with vampirization.
- What the Quilombo or Chulaje is, which book Anael seeks, and whether it recognizes the grand master of masters are unknown.
