The Sword of Judgment is the primordial weapon borne by the Ancient Giantess when she acts against the negative pole of the extended cosmos. It is associated with the crushing of Pope Borg in 1812 AE.

Description
A sword of colossal size, suited to the Giantess, not forged by human hands. Its name carries two senses: judgment as a cosmological verdict against the negative pole, and judgment in the apocalyptic sense of the churches of the extended cosmos. Whoever bears it carries out the judgment; whoever receives it is judged and executed.
It judges structurally, not morally: it acts only against figures of the negative pole engaged in a major ritual, and is called for specific judgments, not serial executions.
The blow against Pope Borg
In 1812 AE, in the Great Obsidian Plaza of Star City, the Giantess emerged after being freed by the pilgrims and struck down Pope Borg. Mascor Blancarba writes: “La Giganta le asestó el castigo merecido” (“The Giantess dealt him the punishment he deserved”). The Pope was crushed again and again, imploding in a small crater, before he could complete his lichification.
Whereabouts
When the Giantess vanished into the volcanic vapors, the Sword vanished with her, returning to the primordial state; it did not remain as a recoverable relic. If the Giantess is summoned again, the Sword returns with her; otherwise it remains inaccessible to mortals until the next major cosmological cycle. In 1824 AE (the present cycle) it is out of reach.
Possible echoes
The Sword may echo other cosmological weapons:
- the ruby-tipped Lance (Lance of Minaya / Lance of Sol-Luna), which kills Tiamat in Amitlai’s Calendar;
- the Lamp of Hope of Swedenborg, a vehicle rather than a weapon.
Conflicting accounts
Three readings of the blow survive:
- A: a blow of the Giantess’s stone fist, which toppled the obsidian pedestal; the Sword did not fully act.
- B: a blow of the Sword, which crushed the Pope against the pedestal, the fist serving as its vehicle.
- C: a combined blow of fist and Sword, one act through two channels.
