The Million (El Millón, also called Avilión) is a ten-story neo-Gothic mansion at Paraná and Santa Fe, Buenos Aires, seat of the aristocratic, anti-communist lodges that in 1966 secretly decide, finance, anoint and bury behind Argentine politics. The lodges hire the group for the lighthouse rite beneath the Operativo Cóndor plot.

Description
The mansion is ten stories high, with a neo-Gothic façade and ivy-covered walls. Famous writers are invited to its soirées, and on its upper floors, away from gala visitors, black magic is practiced.
Two rival brotherhoods share it:
- la Pedue, i.e. P2 (Propaganda Due), a Masonic lodge woven into politics, Italian football and bribery, whose thread leads to the name of Lucio Gelli;
- the lodge of comrade Moretti, whose headquarters is the Million.
Both are right-wing societies competing for the favor of power.
Connections
Behind the metalworkers’ union struggle of Vandor and the printers’ union, a thread linking a certain Uriel to Lucio Gelli leads from the union to these lodges. The unionist Armando Cabo, father of one of the condors, unknowingly opens that door, believing he is negotiating politics.
The lodges are the surface, worldly face of what sleeps beneath the Malvinas: the mundane counterpart of the batrachian brotherhood (Esoteric Order of Dagon) that prepares the coming of Cthulhu.
Role
The Million hires the group. The lodges commission the party dragged to the islands by Operativo Cóndor to perform the lighthouse rite, where the Blue Stone opens its mouth, and afterward claim their price: the “exchange” of the package carried on the hijacked plane.
Their field agents are “the bad company”. Comrade Ricardo Moretti (on the islands simply Moretti) links the intrigue to the condors of Dardo Cabo and sows distrust: he denounces the geologist Irene as a traitor, “people from the north”, and drags Dr. Harrington into the dark side of the plot. Moretti and Uriel are the lodges’ presence that the rancher “el Pupe” Echegoyen distrusts and will not have under his roof.
Real names of Argentine politics and Freemasonry (Lucio Gelli, the P2, Vandor, López Rega) appear undisguised in this plot.
