Mr. Olimpo is an immortal demigod of some 4,200 years, a survivor of the Greek heroic age living in an old building in New York, and a prominent entity of Earth-212. His mind is sealed.

Description

Two meters tall, with “the body of a god”; “clearly an immortal, not easy to kill”.

The building

Since the ’80s he has lived in a building on “the coast” that “for some reason has gone unnoticed” and “was closed for years”. Behind a wall, once broken, lie walled-up antiques gathered over the years, or the century, matching a catalog. The Guardians of Time record an unsolved crime in the apartment.

History

His raiser named him “Olimpo” for not understanding the language, then abandoned him “because he was a problem”. He was raised among nymphs and mortals and trained with heroes. After the flood, a figure called Bedorro revived him. From Lemnos he sailed with Jason and the Argonauts; he met Alexander the Great, or his equivalent on this Earth; was with the Buddha or Zoroaster; walked London’s streets; passed through Seattle.

The sealed mind

Something is “dampening his intelligence, his mind”, leaving him with none. His companions suspect, as a theory, that Medea bewitched his mind. His apotheosis will come when his intelligence and wisdom reach a certain measure; then he will “manifest”.

Present state

His combat suit “is broken”: “the wolf blew it up”. There is “another suit, of Olimpo’s” somewhere. During a detention he was dressed in “a deportees’ hospital gown” reaching his legs. His companions negotiated his appointment as chief of security.

Conflicting accounts

  • Age about 4,200 years, or 4,000.
  • Resident since the ’80s, or since “the disco era”.

Open questions

  • What the veil on his mind is, and whether Medea caused it.
  • Who the wolf and his raiser were, and which language caused the misnaming.
  • Which flood, and how Bedorro revived him.
  • The building’s address; the crime’s date and victim; the catalog’s contents.
  • The suits’ material and owner; why and by whom he was detained.
