Pablo Mono is the name the archives give to the one mask Paulus of Alexandria did not choose: the period in which he acted as an unwilling agent of Graz’zt.

Nature
The records do not decide whether the name designates the controlled man or the avatar form the Prince of the Abyss handled through him. The lever was neither pact nor chain but Paulus’s bond with Sati, a demigod of the Angarian pantheon and a manipulator by trade. Graz’zt held that thread and did not need to touch the conjurer.
Design
The design worked through the mask is recorded in Paulus’s own Isagogica: that the gods destroy each other. “What does Pablo Graz’zt want? He wants all the gods to go to the abyssal hell.” In that passage the man’s and the demon’s names are written as one; the spelling is left uncorrected.
The Library of Alexandria
The chronicles of the time call him “the first conjurer, the principal conjurer”. The act posterity imputes to the name is the burning of the Library of Alexandria. The Library did not burn: it was moved to the Elemental Plane of Fire, to the palace of Kosuth, where its shelves, if the records are true, persist. Paulus had been trained in the Library’s last circles.
Treasure Room
In the Treasure Room, the globe of Antiterra (“the first one Graz’zt wanted”) sits beside the spear of Kaxathros, arbiter of the Contest. The archives note a possible connection between the Prince’s plans through Pablo Mono and those of the arbiter; it remains a conjecture.
