History

Of Decio Balmora’s generation, she loved Decio in her youth and lost him to Lali, who became wife of Baron Argus and later concubine of Caladan. Mirela married another local noble and had a daughter, Luminita, with budding sorcery, and a son, Dracos, a warrior.

On the return after the Hiatus, the Seekers of Ardis Vala reached Valdemora with Decio and found both children missing. Warned away from the place, they had gone to root out a dragon cult, a minor cult laid over something darker. Estorrisco, a local contact, guided them to the entrance but dared not descend. At Mirela’s plea the Seekers and Decio went down and found Lali’s crypt, corrupted. The children’s fate remains open.

Cross-gesta identity

In Stejara (the Sunken Citadel), Mirela Vălcan is the mother of the missing adventurers Dragoș Vălcan and Luminița Hucrele. There she no longer weeps, speaks flatly and offers 125 gold pieces for a signet ring; in Valdemora she begs for help. The two chronicles run in parallel over the same domain, so the Seekers may cross paths with Los Condenados through her.
