Mercury Inc. is a planet-corporation of the Wanderers cult in Platonic New York, sister and peer of Mars Inc., that owns about eighty percent of the world’s communications.

Nature
Mercury is one of four corporations-as-planets gathered in the Wanderers cult. Together with Mars, this family of worlds norms what is done in Platonic New York. Like every Wanderer corporation, it competes on the surface and converges underneath on the shared ideal of regulated order. Mercury’s orbit among the four is the word.
Communications
Mercury owns roughly eighty percent of communications: the networks carrying news, voices and orders. Almost everything the city-world says and hears passes through it.
The destroyed tower
Mercury’s tower is blown up in an attack, the corporation’s headquarters falling in flames. In this world the Twin Towers never fell. After the attack the Centurians appear, a community that awakens in the warmth of the statue of Centurion when it comes to life and marches toward the rubble of Mercury.
