Description

She hangs from dancing chains armed with blades and regenerates. In her belly is a black eye that shows those one has seen depart. The Duke’s lover — “the one with the chains and the violin” — she knows his third name, which must not be said three times without taking a breath. She mocked the azata Starfata Morgana over her lost love: “Screw your lover: he loved it.”

The day of the leucrotta

Founded by Kirios “for him and for his son”, the festival seems to hunt and sacrifice a leucrotta, but in truth works against the city, severing it from existence to make it a base of the shadow. In the interrupted rite Marta was killed by the Botineros (among them Armagedón); the leucrotta of the Eye of Bethlehem, freed of its chains, fled north wounded.
