The Curse-Protection of Not Dreaming is the sentence laid on the liberators of Antiterra by two Atlantean guardians of dreams — “you will never dream again” — which proved to be their shield against the Lord of the Gates.
| Type | Curse / protection |
| Era | Antiterra, 1784 A.D.A. (Atlantean arc) |
| Spanish entry | La maldición-protección de no soñar |
Origin
In the Atlantean arc, Krisina and Casemiro sacrificed the dream-being of the Cakravartin, profaning the plane of dreams; the two Atlantean guardians of dreams expelled them with the sentence.
Mechanism
The Lord of the Gates, the antagonist whose name must not be known, can reach those who dream and have once crossed a gate: he can make the sleeper’s body vanish and trap the mind in a host of another world, reincarnating it after centuries. Losing dreams closes that inner door. The price is wakefulness: the liberators remain insomniacs, “daydreamers” who no longer dream. The logic was made explicit at the cycle’s after-party.
