Majestic, also called the people of the north, is a faceless American brotherhood that guards, catalogs and administers the same secrets the Malvinas Islands hold, deciding who may approach them and who must disappear.

History
Majestic dates from the late 1920s, when a raid and a bombing razed a northern fishing town on a reef off a cursed coast, where a human line had mixed with what rises from the sea. From that first official contact with what sleeps under the water came the decision that such knowledge could not be left loose. Its motto, it is said, is estás con nosotros y nunca más te vas (“you are with us and you never leave”).
In 1966 it watches the descent beneath the Malvinas from the northern continent. In the north it is a state apparatus with decades of files, little gray men and lights in the sky.
Two factions
The brotherhood is split:
- Containment: erase everything supernatural, including matter that fits no table and stones outside the known order of elements, even at the cost of killing anyone who touched them.
- Use: exploit the knowledge at any price, experimenting with it, co-opting whoever holds it, and milking rock and human mind for advantage.
Whoever falls into its hands cannot know which faction will receive them.
Recruits
Majestic recruits “friendly” scientists. It co-opted Harrington, the old geologist of the southern nesocraton and teacher of the group’s Polish geologist, and watched him in his retirement in Galveston, Texas, near the great northern observatories. Dying, Harrington let slip the outline of the network: northern lighthouses, Greenland, the ice of Thule. Through the group’s broken comrades, “the people of the north” became a byword for betrayal.
Relationships
- Operativo Cóndor opened an Argentine rift; Majestic had long administered the same secret from the far side.
- The Esoteric Order of Dagon beneath the islands is the other face of the same secret: Majestic guards it through power and catalog, the Order embodies it through water and cult.
- The group that returned south with samples of the blue stone and a one-line warning, si vienen a buscarte, corré (“if they come for you, run”), was caught between the two, among them Antonio Portet.
- The trail leads north, toward Nevada and those who trade in minerals and minds.
