Latromis is an ancient sorcerer, once a traveling companion of Elías, remembered chiefly for wielding the Wizard’s Rod and unleashing with it a Retributive Strike that destroyed his own circle.
History
Latromis traveled with Elías in an early stretch of Elías’s career. Their paths diverged: Elías shut himself away and became the cantankerous Magister; Latromis did not.
At some point, whether out of revenge, betrayal, necessity or all three is unknown, Latromis took up the Wizard’s Rod and executed a Retributive Strike with it. The strike hit the circle he was part of: the group broke apart, what was being built fell, and everything around him was razed. No one has wanted to repeat it.
Afterward he appears only on the margins: in planar places such as Islaire, alongside Frome, Bazim-Gorag and Arcoms Cosmar; and in the episode of the Stone of the Apocalypse, when the artifact is entrusted to him so that it does not fall into demonic hands. His late appearances are brief and oblique.
