Kumal is a locality of Free Armenia, founded around 1070, after the fall of historical Armenia: an extratemporal refuge and the first stable home of the Time Bandits.

A peaceful garden-plane without linear time, it houses a melancholy satyr, a boy with a snake and mamarrachas (grotesques), the time-travel Chronal Tree, a Chronal Library that elves and wizards come out of, and an opera amphitheater. It launches time jumps and sheltered the group after the chronocide. It becomes their base in Uchronic Paris: a deliberately reconquered Armenia, where hope is founded at the saga’s end. Motto: Veritas filia temporis (“Truth is the daughter of Time”).
It may be a deliberate reconstruction of the destroyed Andgara.
