The Cave of the Wolves is a place of indeterminate location mentioned by the chronicler in the Uchronic Paris cycle as a destination for a “special day”.

Location

  • It may be Abaddon, Byzantium or the plane of the spine; this is unresolved.
  • The glossary places white wolves with hearts of ice in Torregrises and on the First Platform, a possible connection.

The Regulators

The cave also existed in the era of the Regulators, who landed at Marseille and went north. There are beings there, including women surrounded by canids. It is a cross-gesta location.

The “woman of the wolves” whom the Regulators meet after landing, with the 300 Atlanteans taking refuge on the coast of Gallia Narbonensis, on the road to the castle of Carcasona, is Scya, the figure of Greek myth. The Inevitables brought her as a curse on the Atlanteans who 9,000 years earlier tried to enslave the Mediterranean.

  • “A woman lying among wolves” is the exact formula of Events of Antiterra.
  • Lupus, the animal associated with Gaul (the same as on the Roman standards), is present in the monster.
  • Charybdis appears behind.
  • Scya’s defeat leaves the Regulators with wolf standards as a symbolic trophy.
