Alexio (Anacronismo, “Anachronism”; TE10) is a companion of the Templar cycle whose status contradicts itself: canonically dead, yet alive on arrival in Uchronic Paris.
Conflicting accounts
- Canonical status: dead in the night theft of relics, in the combat in the crypt, with no resurrection available.
- Actual status on arriving in Uchronic Paris: alive and active in combat, and addressed by name by the other companions.
Open questions
- Was Alexio resurrected between the crypt and Uchronic Paris?
- Does the entry into Paris precede the crypt in narrative terms, as a time jump?
- Or is it a substitution of companion after the crypt?
- Anachronism suggests he may be “playing backward” in time, or that the story forks; this is critical for canonicity.
