The Infinite Staircase is an endless stair that links the planes and realities. It appears in the gesta through Minaya, who may traverse it at some point in the arc.
Description
- Form: a literally infinite staircase with a door at each landing.
- Doors: each leads to a different plane, semiplane, world or pocket realm.
- Access: hidden portals in any corner of any plane; whoever finds the right door enters.
- Inhabitants: vagabonds of the planes, wandering bards and storytellers.
It serves as a free path between planes and a liminal space, with encounters with figures of the planes on the landings.
Open questions
- Whether Minaya actually uses it, and where, is unconfirmed.
- Whether it is kin to the Game of Shadows, another cosmological path of transit, is to be confirmed.
