Captain Kidd of Time is a pirate who sails the inner sea of time in the alternate New York of 2035, aboard a 17th-century galleon. He is called the Blackbeard of New York.

Where Blackbeard terrorized the routes of the Indies, he plunders the routes of the eras; his Tortuga is any bend of time where a galleon can anchor. This New York is a city of time before stone, folding over its own decades.
