Alexio is a companion of the Order of the Temple, a reincarnated chosen one who now lives in a torco body and carries the Order’s banner as Gonfalero (standard-bearer). Ariadna named him her chosen one.

| Spanish entry | Alexio |
Appearance and arms
A torco “almost six feet tall, quite burly”, sixteen years old, on horseback, “fully kitted” with lance, sword, axe and bow. His armor, which the voices call Haid, is “a mix of leather with assembled metals that has endured several battles”, “very well made”, “somewhat more Nordic”, and has “become a bit small for adventures”; he wears it anyway. He is a heavy, very fast rider. He bears a named power lance; the name reaches the records too garbled to fix.
The banner
The Order gave him the banner “as if saying: young one, guide us in this dark morning”. In formation he is the only torco in view: “El único torco que veo es a Alexio en este momento.” (“The only torco I see is Alexio at this moment.“) Torcos are the species of the hosts of the future great Khan.
Reincarnation
His former elf body lies buried near the temple. He lost it in the second attack, in which he was nearly killed, and is now “weaker than before”. The reincarnation belongs to the world’s cycle of incarnations and time travelers; the same soul persists across both bodies.
Syncretism
Elements of several religions cross over the Nordic look of his armor. He prays inside the cathedral “in a particular way”. Ariadna gave him a golden thread.
Open questions
- The name of his power lance; what Haid means.
- Whether the “Alexan” Ariadna named is Alexio (assumed, unconfirmed).
- What the golden thread does; how and to which religion he prays.
- How much weaker he is and whether it is reversible; whether his reincarnation is typical of the cycle or an exception.
