Repudiation of Arian
Arian was ambushed by the drow and signed the Pact with the priestess to save his life. Valteran repudiated him for breaking the crucial precept, “no pactarás con el Demonio” (“you shall not pact with the Demon”). He arranged to send him to Tanastias, across the ocean, so that he would not cross paths with her. He told him: “Go and meet your destiny. Another will teach you.”
