Patriarch Heirmano is the religious figure who serves as Patriarch of Jerusalem and a political counterweight to Hugues de Payens, the Grand Master. He first appears in the operation at the Temple, when the plan to detain Hugues is introduced.

He is short but imposing, with white V-shaped eyebrows, and smokes a pipe. He carries a magical presence of divine force, and his aura confirms him as lawful good (Michel). He speaks like a pragmatic man who has seen earlier wars: “If the world is at war, we will give it Peace even if we must pass through war.”

He controls the celestial guards who protect relics, and he knows Hugues’s true nature, mentioning his “hurried visits” and turn to politics. He agrees to send Holy Paladins at dawn to arrest Hugo, setting a deadline before sunrise. After the theft of the relics he touches the black armor and weeps, confirming the possession. He is allied with the King and holds the legitimate religious authority above Hugo.
