Paris 1889 is the group’s destination world: Paris after Chronomon, temporarily damaged, on 19 December 1889, one week before the apocalypse of 25 December.

Description

  • An empty city, “razed, the winds blow,” in a European December cold.
  • “A million hostages of the daemons,” presumably enslaved or held in a dimensional pocket.
  • Countryside with rusted rail tracks, not fully explored.
  • Roasted apples fall from the sky, a symbol of inverted prosperity.

Geography

  • Notre Dame (cathedral): presumably the final objective.
  • The outskirts: where the group meets the knights; a “quarantine” site.

Demonic control

  • An “invisible army” (“the maps”) pursues the group continuously, a “descending spiral.”
  • Troops of devils control the city.
  • A “Baphomet Machine” (Baphomet) produces demonic paste or drug.

It resembles Sigil in structure, a neutral extraplanar city, but demon-controlled. It may be a future nexus of the trunk cycle (City of Times).
