Field
The infernal inns are lodging places in the planes of Hell where travelers can stop on their descent or ascent.
Laughing Vulture Train
According to the archive of Gary, the New World, the Novice Cruz connect with the Tren del Buitre Risueño (Laughing Vulture Train), the interdimensional train that departs from Iron Mountain in Gary, Indiana in 1987:
Crewed by a novice crew. It is headed for an interdimensional inn where “outside the windows the world was roasting like baked apples.” The Laughing Vulture is its last stop.
“Novice crew” is read as Novice Cruz in the archive’s Spanish spelling, and the interdimensional inn is the infernal inn of their field. The “cruz” can be read as a Christian cross or as a dimensional crossing; both readings coexist. Redcap and Wintercap are allied passengers. The Lords of Creation gesta, a parallel T2.5, shares the same eclipse of 14 April 1987.
