Nadeem Abdullah is a doctor of the MYM chronicle’s alternate New York, raised in the preventive ghettos for Muslims, who founded an NGO against them and is the father of the Abdullah family.
History
He grew up in a very poor family in the ghettos; his parents got their only son to university. After the 9/11 attack that was prevented in this New York, and the “crime prevention” policy imposed on the city, he began to question everything.
He became a volunteer doctor around the world and founded an NGO that helped needy peoples and drew attention to how his people lived. Pressure grew until many nations demanded the end of the ghettos; soon after, the NGO was closed over “bureaucratic issues”. He knew someone did not want him doing what he did.
On a trip through Africa he fell in love with Amina, and they married before returning to the United States. He never learned that, for her, he had begun as a mission.
When Amina became pregnant he left volunteer work for a settled medical practice. They raised three children: Malik, Jamal (later Ifrit) and Aisha. As they grew up, the segregationist ghettos were abolished. He is now an attentive father who keeps helping his community through his profession.
