Description
She has a notable talent for art and a fascination with Arab and African cultures, the two shores of her mixed heritage, which she pours into her work.
Role
Aisha is one of very few people who know her brother’s secret identity, and she helps sustain it. She visually designed Ifrit’s costume, giving the blue-fire speedster the silhouette by which the city begins to recognize him. Malik contributed the engineering; she contributed the image.
A plate shows her in profile at a table, pen still loaded, finishing the figure of a runner wrapped in flame. Pinned to the wall behind her are earlier drafts, the same silhouette six or seven times, each with a different line of fire.
