Madame Serafine is a power of the dream plane and the mother of Thel, her youngest daughter. Thel is the spirit of the murdered young woman bound to the possessed hand and to the childhood pact of La Plume, and ends as the swordsman’s speaking sword.
From Serafine’s house comes the maiden who crosses the semiplane of Casemiro wrapped in her cloud of death; the mother remains on the other side of the dream, as the origin and lineage of that apparition.
She appears in the Libertateurs arc of the Plane of Dreams (1784), invoked at the edge of Thel’s vision and named as Thel’s mother.
