A specter in an old-fashioned tricorn carrying a mystic lantern: he lights the way of the dead and buries whoever tries to come back along it. He keeps anyone from crossing between eras without paying the price.
History
When the group went down into the passage seeking to reach the gaslit New York of 1870, he barred the way. He fights with shadow knives that wound where light does not reach, and projects seven shadows of himself that surround the enemy and hide which is the body. One of his shadow daggers left Metropolis pinned. Clix, an encapsulated traveler, waited on the other side of the passage.
