Elizabeth Clay is the right-hand woman of the corporation Mars and assistant to its chief executive, Samuel Giles, in the MYM chronicle. She is the corporation’s contact with the outside world.

Role
Clay deals with outsiders on behalf of a power that prefers not to show itself. She arranged the contract with the crew of defenders, put up the money, and set the meeting with Giles on the golf course.
She runs the corporation’s armament innovation and security area and keeps the keys to the Mars laboratories. There the ambrosia is distilled, essences are processed, and the beings the corporation calls its “four reasons” (The Four Reasons) are made.
