Cyril of Alexandria is recorded by the chronicle as Patriarch of Alexandria, heir to the see of his uncle Teófilo, who had been patriarch before him.

He was born in 376 in Theodosios, in the land of Egypt. His uncle Teófilo governed the see between 385 and 412. Cyril lived in the days of Paulus of Alexandria. This is as the Skronamon Document records it.
