The Caravan of the Khan is the vast caravan of the Great Khan crossing the steppe. An embassy consults a map: Khalim, Iriscan, Sisi, Auro (bearer of the talisman Garra, “Claw”), Pepsico and Luca.
The caravan is a central event of the gesta (campaign-cycle) of Ardis Vala, and the epic account of the expedition tied to it is the Gesta of Khalim.
