Description
Convoy tales tie its crown to Calíope. Its alliance with the cold turned the southern threat into a northern one: its hosts of cold iron, cold tribes and worse things, like those in the Halls of Frost, cut the route from Nothenvell to the coastal captaincy along the Road of Mertylmane. Caloria’s watchtowers call it only los malditos del sur (“the damned of the south”). It once reportedly had an alliance with the elves of Aurora Polaris.
Its front is led by General Ajani, rumored to be a Blood War veteran. Some say its queen is made of ice. An augury holds that “the ardor of love has brought the cold to Caloria”, hinting at a war possibly begun by a spurned woman, and advises “divide and you will triumph”.
History
Before the journey to Karlstorf, Burkestein named Gamada at court among the southern human rivals and placed Calíope in Aurora Polaris. The company weighed splitting the coalition by diplomacy but never checked the king’s account from the other side.
