The Elemental Bathtub is a large piece of furniture, a copper bathtub on wheels, in which a medium-sized Water Elemental can rest until summoned.
Functions
- Elemental maintenance of Estela Nereida: the nereid needs periodic immersion in water to refresh her aquatic elementality.
- Minor summoning: the water at rest in the tub harbors a medium-sized Water Elemental in latency, which can be called when the situation requires.
Use
- It travels among Estela’s luggage. On long journeys a servant carries it to the compartment of the Pullman car, and the water is prepared in advance.
- In a scene recorded on a lost plate, Estela emerges naked from the restored water, her skin slightly more translucent than minutes before and her hair heavy as seaweed.
- The tub is a public vulnerability: whoever surprises Estela during the ritual finds her without the shawl and without immediate elemental defense.
