The Sidereal Automata (Interstellar Guardians) are mechanical creatures that guard the interstellar doors in the Sidereal Office, a transit station between star systems. They appear as “mechanical cubes and a man of bronze.”
Nature
- They have a machine soul (artificial consciousness), emit violet electrical attacks, and contain internal oil as their vital fluid.
- They can reconstitute themselves after taking damage, but certain magical properties, such as those of Corvino’s phantom sword, prevent the regeneration.
- When one dies, its heart bursts in a violet explosion.
Origin
They are probably products of the Machine civilization of Tetraxis / Proxima Centauri. Their role as guardians suggests that interstellar space is controlled or patrolled by Machine entities.
