History
Arriano (with a double r) walked calmly through the smoking rubble showing a cross inside a circle. As “the guardian’s adviser” he urged the Deep Ones to leave, since the Mexicans saw them as gringos and their killing would turn on them; he defended the dragon and offered a duel of champions. Refused, he showed them a map and left.
He hid instead, with his huge sword, in a crack behind the wall. When Stormy, battered by the dragon and a collapse, went down for the Atlantean chest, Arriano struck him from behind and cut off his leg. Stormy died; reviving him with the chest failed. Ariel turned Arriano into a rabbit and fed him to a magic bag. His remains yielded the red cloak of the six-fingered hand.
