Titans are creatures of divine or semi-divine scale in Antiterra, associated with fallen gods, present both as bodies on the ground and as the mythological figure of a fall. The one feature fixed by sight is that the giant figure has an iron shoulder.

Description

One titan “is walking along the shore” with its head almost in the astral plane.

The Fallen Titan holds the splinter of the Veracruz in its eye: “an eye inside which there was a stone, which in turn had that splinter inside it.” Reaching the relic means passing through the titan’s body.

The null zone

The Colossus (whether Colossus and Titan are the same is not fixed) emits a zone where magic is cancelled: “there magic stopped existing; in fact a cancellation energy fell.” One company first had it at 1,100 feet; then, moved by the Fang of Peace, they stood on a rocky platform and rock walkway 120 feet away: “the Titan is right beside, at 120 feet.”

Known titans

  • The Fallen Titan, casket of the splinter.
  • The black titan (“black, titan, giant, demon”), which “fell on the city of the water”. One answer identifies it with Aso, noting that avatar and god, or descendant and ancestor, are related; the identification is contextual.
  • The titan of the shores.
  • Kronamon, titan and god, location unfixed; a character pursues “the catasterism of his god, of the titan Kronamon”.

A titan’s fall was seen in a vision in 1889.

Conflicting accounts

  • The titan “is as big as a Mazinger”, “a thing of 50 or 60 meters”.
  • It “is a titan three meters twenty tall”.

Open questions

  • Whether Titan, Colossus, Fallen Titan and black titan are one kind, one lineage, or only grouped by size is unknown.
  • The null zone’s radius, whether it cancels all magic, and whether every titan emits one are unknown.
  • Who fell in the 1889 vision is doubted (Kronamon? Helec?); a contextual reading links it to Aso, unconfirmed.
  • Whether the splinter was in the eye before the fall is unknown.
  • Face, limbs, movement, and how many titans exist are not recorded.
