El Negro is a dragon and a host: he is “possessed” by a disembodied entity that disperses like vapor when the body housing it dies.

Description
- Master of all arcane symbols, he studies in the electromagical library, consulting texts. He originally created the wards or custodians that protect time.
- A profane aura deflects or neutralizes the iron of weapons. When opposed, he drives a sword into the heart; he did so to the heart of Pablo’s father. He is not Pablo’s son.
- He made Terra and Antiterra linked to the Abyss. How, when and at what price is not recorded.
Appearances
- In the Templars’ accounts he sits in the place of the curtains, applauding the arrival of the travelers.
- He appears when the Flamingo, “the old one,” withdraws from the scene; this detail is doubtful.
