Iron Mountain is a site on the Mexico–United States border, a portal node possibly linked to the island of Antigua every hundred years, and the hiding place of five nuclear charges no search has found.

Location

The coordinate is reached “with Cancer”: «con cáncer que es esta esta coordenada acá se toca esto es Iron Mountain». A train runs from it “into Mexico or out of Mexico”.

Portal

“There was a connection between the portal of Iron Mountain and that of Antigua,” across the continent, activated “probably” on the night of the eclipse. Confiscated notes give the period: “Every 100 years.” One note gives 1987 as an eclipse year at Iron Mountain, a century after 1887.

The charges

The notes record «5 cargas nucleares / Que no podemos hallar / Pero están» (“5 nuclear charges / that we cannot find / but they are there”). “There is already radiation”, with no source found.

The train

The only documented exit is by rail: “There the train is leaving Iron Mountain with Redcat and the two friends.”

Iron Confederacy

“The Indians already knew about this zone.” The Iron Confederacy (or Iron Confederation) was an ancient Indigenous confederacy that knew its “energetic properties” and extended toward Gary, Indiana. It was a point of colonial contact with the French and Dutch through the fur trade and “the flow of iron” from Europe. Some groups still claim alliance with it “hundreds of years ago”.

The iron family

The name groups: the mountain; the Confederacy; Cold Iron, a material with defensive properties forged into weapons; the Iron Dog, “no longer entirely natural”, with triple metal teeth; and the Iron Lord, Ogul Onire, seen in ritual vision asleep, blind and chained. No source states they form one system.

Conflicting accounts

  • One reading calls Iron Mountain “lord of iron”, conflating it with the Iron Lord.

Open questions

  • No description exists: no mines, installations or ruins.
  • The Antigua link is one character’s theory; the cycle is in the confiscated papers.
  • How and where the portal opens.
  • Who placed the bombs, and why they cannot be found.
  • Whether Iron Mountain and the Gary zone are one territory.
