Description
Víctor feeds on bagged blood and money circuits rather than the hunt. He sleeps under the Teatro Colón, with well-paid logistics. Within the coterie he alone keeps “eating from the Camarilla’s hand” while the others push the other way; the contradiction is never resolved.
The broken promise
Before his death he wanted to be someone and was involved in drugs. He promised Ángeles (Angie) that he had stopped. He used again, and was Embraced that same night. Angie saw him change; she remained his touchstone, his last tie to having been human.
The trial
Lavinia, harpy of the Elysium, warned him to keep Angie away from the concert and not to attend himself. The warning was half kept. To hold on to Angie, Víctor told her the truth — that he was dead — and proved it.
The court of the prince, José López Rega, ruled that she must be killed or die with him. His sire then claimed the right of sire: if he Embraced her himself, there was no breach to punish, and he turned her on the spot. Angie survived, bound to her new sire alone. Víctor was spared, left in debt and answerable to the court for any future transgression by his companions. The coterie lost its touchstone in saving her and broke apart from within.
