Tawil at-U’mr (also Tawil Alhum, Tawil al-Mur), “the Prolonger of Life” (el prolongador de la vida), is the “less evil” avatar of Jock Sotot, the in-world Yog-Sothoth and lord of doors. He is the one who stands on the threshold, master of the past, the present, the door and the key.
Mirror trade
He deals in magic mirrors in exchange for gifts, and the trade has a price. Whoever knows times that are not their own, past or future, is touched by him and exposed to being sent to a personal microcosm, folded out of the world.
Role
- One of his mirrors is destroyed in the New York arc of the Libertateurs (June 1784).
- The antagonist reaches only those who dream and have crossed a gate, which ties him to the curse-protection of not dreaming.
