The Templar Sanctuary is an abandoned military-religious structure: the ruins of a crusader fortress, now an enemy power base and a zone of demonic possession.

Description
The ruins date from the battle of a year earlier, the Field of Blood. There are towers, an entrance with a door, and an interior with a table of papers and maps of the region. The attack comes at dusk. It is the group’s final destination on the journey to Tyre and a major combat zone.
History
The Christian crusaders died about a year ago. Their bodies received no holy burial and have revived as “creatures of the night” under possession or a dark spell. The sanctuary needs to be sanctified.
Findings and enemies
- The table’s papers and maps (information about the region) are not yet examined; the scattered treasure is not fully cataloged.
- Enemies: many possessed Templars; a Sauro, a large creature with regeneration; emissaries or priests who cast spells; and the Gatekeeper, spellbound or possessed.
- The Gatekeeper is captured alive, with a possible exorcism in the operation against the Temple.
Open questions
- Whether the infiltration of this sanctuary follows the same pattern as that of Flamenco in the Day of the False Master is not settled.
