Minaya (Minaya Fariña) is the adulterine son of the queen, a green-skinned celestial with wings and sword who presents himself as general of the hosts of heaven. He died to free his mother from Lord Soth.

Description
Green skin is constant. Two figures are recorded:
- “a bald green one. With wings and sword”; “and then I lost my hair”, he says;
- an adolescent “with a somewhat leonine mane”, half-drow, also with a sword.
A third form is a baby in diapers, abandoned on the dock. His wings are white. He is called a “planetar”, and is a single named entity, not a kind of creature.
Parentage
Three accounts name the father:
- Coyote, who “actually got in the middle of that relationship”;
- the god Apollo: “the son of Apollo has died to save you”;
- Harvey Harvey, who acknowledges him as son: “he is well and truly dead. I lost track of him long ago.”
His mother is called Sara, the Queen of Zaira, or Zara; whether these are one crown or three is not established.
Role
As general of the hosts of heaven his task in battle is to hold back, not to fight: during the invasion “he will stay on the coast trying to hold back the population”.
Death and liberation
His one declared act is to free his mother, “over there again dominated by Lord Soth”; he dies for her. Two voices confirm his death, yet “at the very end” he also arrives alive before her to say: «Madre, he venido a liberarte» (“Mother, I have come to free you”). The order of the arrival and the death is not settled.
Name and other life
The name comes from companionship, not birth: he says he was called Minaya Fariña “because I was a companion of mine-been, Gerdo, in another life”. A passage about a transported child also fixes the form “cabo [cape of the Magus King]”, linking him to the Magus King in an unexplained way.
Open questions
- Whether the dock baby, the maned youth and the bald angel are one life out of order, successive reincarnations, or three namesakes.
- Whether the three paternities exclude each other or the world admits all three.
- Who abandoned him on the dock and who took him in; how and when he lost his hair.
- What a planetar is in this world.
- How many hosts he commands, on what coast, against what invasion.
