Latino Cravits is a recurring character of Pablo and Miranda and an old friend of Federico, who “has particular relevance in the future.” The main spelling is Cravits; Cravis also appears, and he is called Lati Borrach.
History
- He vacationed at a beach hotel in Canción, where he met Sil, “a red scooter.” He wrote love letters and danced in discotheques.
- His end is death or disappearance: “his unfortunate part in this story stopped for certain in a public hospital ward.”
- “A scooter no longer made in Torregrises, its spare parts hard to find” is an elegy for Sil.
He appears in the final edition of the work (letter, baptism, discotheque, death) and in a draft.
