The escape
- Juan waited at a run-down inn in some old baths on the outskirts of Rome. GRDT arrived there running, with his captors, after escaping the execution on the Sublician bridge, which is consecrated to the Furies.
- His beggar companion had arrived earlier to prepare the escape.
- One of GRDT’s captors had said Yo me cojo al destino (“I fuck fate”) when told that his fatum was to die in Rome. GRDT pronounced a triple curse, “Vas a caer” (“You will fall”), in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- The destination after the escape is Broken Reach. KAXA is GRDT’s companion in the flight.
