Juan Sears is a half-orc shaman and seer of the Torcos, a “field orc” weathered on the frontier steppes where the cannibal tribe roams, from the territories of the Great Khan to the gates of Vienna. He dies beneath Mount Nevermind in 1715.

Family
He knows Salomon, the rabbi of Praglava. He is half-brother and enemy of the Corrupt Scribe: both are sons of Mamica Cárcel, and separated by city and country. The half-orc race ages quickly, which makes him older than his apparent mother.
Death
His thread crosses that of Les Libertateurs beneath Mount Nevermind. He arrives with a band of orcs through a black vapor when the painted mark takes effect, during the sacking of the Scribe’s redoubt. There he dies with his whole band, stabbed in the heart by a dwarf dagger. The twelve dwarf executioners of the society, among them Lenin and Trotsky, finish him off, as they would the Scribe and the mother of both.
