The Grand Counsellor of Mount Nevermind is the last gnome of Mount Nevermind and its legendary druid. The mountain was the womb of fifty-three thousand of his kind before the mine emptied it.
He uses no magic: two candles, a blunt pick and the scale of the weight of truth are enough. A preacher of the gnome cause, he pronounces the sentence “all gods must die”.
Role
- He names the Dark Star of the Enlightenment as the strong man of Paris toward whom the Host went, marking the target of the hunt.
- He extends to Les Libertateurs a line of credit in blue ink, seven thousand gold coins, for the pursuit. This seals the pact that sends them from the deep levels of the mountain toward the boulevards of Paris (1715).
