Gargoyles of the Third Circle are flying creatures of the third circle, found in flocks of half a dozen or more. They negotiate, have hierarchies and answer to an authority within the circle.
They work for Cerberus or another lord of the circle. They bargain with the companions, trading Adam’s (Arian’s) wings for escort and safe passage. Called “cruel servants” with a deadly reputation, they can carry people in flight.
Their role as intermediaries recalls that of the Tempestari, on a smaller scale.
