Cordero de Andrade is a back-room contact on the margins of the political life of Torregrises, in the Rosista uchronia.
He deals with people personally and is relatively sensitive to the tone of the times. He laments what was lost across the Plata, and mourns the orientales, the “cabezones” of the Banda Oriental and the provinces the river swallowed. That makes him a peculiar interlocutor in a world where the Federals celebrate every victory as final.
He has other contacts who work in different registers: where he carries lament, they carry calculation.
