Conti (Uchronic Paris) is a mage of a precise kind: a sort of academic of the arts. He sees the temporal lines that connect in different images, and he knows how to walk those libraries.

Nature
- He arrives “rebotado por la época y sus resonancias intelectuales” (“bounced by the era and its intellectual resonances”).
- His gift is that of an art historian rather than a sorcerer.
- He is the counterpart of another mage, whose path is the search for knowledge and the magic of times, chronomancy: the matter of Kronamon. These are two ways of touching time, by spell and by image.
Patron
In this chronicle the second way has a real patron: it is exactly what Aby Warburg does with his library, “whose recurring letter is the eternal return: the survival of the pathos formulas through the ages.”
