Scale Armor is a medieval armor of metal scales that Corvino wears now and then in Uchronic Paris, when things “get spicy” (serious combat).
It is described as “a little old” and is probably a family heirloom, since Corvino comes from a fallen noble family. It gives limited protection against bullets and blades; the city is full of knife-fighters, and rifles are less common. It probably dates from before industrialization (medieval or Renaissance), and he does not wear it in formal settings.
